Welcome the summer with these sun templates and coloring pages that you can use for crafts, science lessons, and other summer activities with your kids!
Summer is here and there is no doubt that it’s going to be a bright and sunny one! Besides providing us heat all year round (and maybe too much of it in the summer months), the Sun has so many more functions.
The Sun is the center of our solar system, and its gravity keeps all the planets and everything else within the solar system in its orbit. It’s the ultimate source of energy that sustains life here on Earth. Moreover, the interactions between the Earth and the Sun causes weather patterns, seasons, ocean currents, and much more.
Here are free printable Sun templates that you can use as stencils for summer crafts, solar system crafts, weather projects, and other activities involving the Sun. I created small, medium, and large suns and suns with different sun rays. I also included colored sun templates that you can print and cut out.
And for your preschoolers and kindergarteners, there are also cute sun coloring pages. Your kids can use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to decorate the sun coloring sheets on a rainy day.
