Step 2: Download and Print

Once you’ve chosen your template, download it and print it out. Make sure you use sturdy paper like cardstock for best results.

If you don’t have cardstock, regular printer paper will also work, but the final product might not be as durable. I recommend laminating the finished Pokémon craft if you would like it to last longer.

If you are laminating, make sure you jump to Step 3 and color the Pokémon first!

Step 3: Customize (Optional)

If you’ve printed a black-and-white template, this is your chance to bring your Pokémon to life with color! Use colored pencils or markers to decorate your Pokémon.

Step 4: Cut Out Your Template

Use scissors to carefully cut out the printed template along the dashed line.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach your children patience and enhance their fine motor skills.

Step 5: Glue

You have two options here for your Pokémon craft:

  1. You can glue all the template pieces on a separate piece of paper, using the character drawing on the template sheet as a guide. Then use scissors to cut around the outline of the character.
  2. Glue or tape the different template pieces together to form your Pokémon character.

Congratulations! You’ve created your very own Pokémon craft. I encourage you to create more Pokémon characters to form your very own Pokémon team!

Your kids will love displaying these Pokémons in their rooms or showing them to their friends, especially while trading Pokémon cards!
